Birminghammail reports that Arnold engaged in a month-long spree involving vehicle break-ins and residential burglaries. His actions included smashing windows to steal items from parked cars and entering homes while occupants were asleep to take keys and personal belongings. In one incident on 30 June, Arnold broke into a property off St John's Road, where he threatened a woman and demanded her bag before stealing £600.

West Midlands Police conducted a detailed investigation, utilizing CCTV footage to link Arnold to multiple offenses, including theft of motor vehicles and fraud. He was arrested on 17 July and subsequently pleaded guilty to several charges, including burglary of a dwelling. Det Con Nev Payton noted that the offender showed no remorse for his actions, which left victims feeling unsafe in their own homes.
