Multiple burglaries reported at Beeston student flats
According to an article published on 22 December 2025 by Nottinghampost, a 27-year-old man named Christos Iona has been charged with 13 offences following a series of burglaries and thefts. Between 30 November and 6 December, Iona targeted the Graduation House student accommodation on High Road in Beeston on five separate occasions. During these incidents, he stole televisions from four flats and an arcade machine from the shared common room.
Nottinghampost reports that Iona also committed thefts at four shops in Beeston, Stapleford, Wollaton, and Netherfield between 10 November and 14 December, taking meat, alcohol, and clothing. Police identified the suspect through CCTV footage and detained him at a Beeston address on 18 December, where they recovered three of the stolen televisions. Iona pleaded guilty to five counts of burglary, seven counts of shop theft, and one count of handling stolen goods on 20 December. He remains in custody awaiting sentencing at Nottingham Crown Court on 10 January.
