Serial Burglaries Hit Multiple Northridge Businesses, Including Local Coffee Shop

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A string of early morning burglaries struck several commercial properties in Northridge on Wednesday, including the community staple Yonder Coffee, raising alarms among local business owners about rising property crime in the San Fernando Valley.

The burglaries occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, January 10, 2024. According to police reports, the suspects targeted a strip of local businesses, smashing glass doors to gain quick entry. Inside Yonder Coffee, the burglars ransacked the register area and took cash before moving on to adjacent storefronts.
