Residential burglary wave in Moreton
According to Liverpoolecho, a series of five burglaries and attempted burglaries were reported in the Wirral area over the weekend of May 29 to May 30, 2026. One notable incident occurred on June 1, 2026, involving an arrest after a man was spotted inside a woman's bedroom in Moreton.
Liverpoolecho reports that the first incident took place on May 29 at a property on Pasture Crescent, where a designer handbag and jewellery were stolen. Subsequent incidents were reported on Town Meadow Lane and Lingham Lane, involving individuals attempting to gain entry through doors or porches. In one instance, a suspect fled after being disturbed by an occupier.
Following these events, 28-year-old Roy OโNeil of School Close, Moreton, has been charged with one count of burglary and four counts of attempted burglary. He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court on June 1. Merseyside Police continue to urge residents to report suspicious activity and submit security camera footage to the dedicated Operation Castle team to assist with ongoing investigations.
