Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Teenager Following $5,000 Burglary of Tampa Smoke Shop

TAMPA, FL — A teenager has been taken into custody by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) following a commercial burglary at a local smoke shop that resulted in the theft of approximately $5,000 in merchandise. The entire incident was captured on the business's security cameras, prompting a swift investigation by local detectives.

According to sheriff's deputies, the burglary occurred in the early morning hours when the suspect forced entry through the front glass door of the retail establishment. Surveillance video released by the HCSO depicts the suspect entering the store, quickly smashing display cases, and loading a variety of high-value merchandise into large bags.
