Shootout on Caplin Street Leaves One Burglary Suspect Injured, Two at Large

HOUSTON, Texas — An attempted residential burglary in northeast Houston escalated into a dramatic shootout on Caplin Street, leaving one suspect injured and two others fleeing from law enforcement.

The incident occurred when suspects attempted to break into a home on Caplin Street. The homeowner, who was armed, confronted the intruders, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. During the shootout, one of the suspects sustained injuries and was subsequently hospitalized, where they remain under police custody.
