Security staff threatened during Halesowen shop theft

According to an article published by Birminghammail on 1 March 2026, West Midlands Police are seeking to identify two men following a theft at a shop on Queensway in Halesowen. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 18 February, shortly after 7pm.

Birminghammail reports that 11 bottles of whisky were stolen from the premises. Security staff were threatened after they observed the individuals taking the alcohol. Following CCTV enquiries, police have released images of two men they wish to speak with regarding the incident.

The first man is described as being between 28 and 40 years old, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, with a lean build, black hair, and a full beard and moustache. The second man is estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, with a black beard and moustache. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police quoting crime number 20/152914/26 or report anonymously via Crimestoppers.

Businesses are encouraged to maintain clear sightlines throughout the store to help staff monitor activity and deter potential shoplifters.
