Shop Worker Assaulted as Box Thrown During Dudley Robbery

DUDLEY — Police are investigating a violent robbery at a local retail store in Dudley, during which a shop worker was assaulted. The incident occurred during regular operating hours when suspects entered the premises and attempted to steal items from the shelves.

When challenged by store staff, one of the perpetrators threw a heavy box directly at a worker. The force of the impact caused minor injuries, and the suspects fled the scene shortly after with a quantity of merchandise. Emergency services were notified, and the injured employee was assessed at the scene.

West Midlands Police have launched a full investigation into the assault and robbery, reviewing store CCTV and interviewing witnesses. They are calling on any members of the public who were near the store at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact them to help identify the culprits.
