Shopkeeper Threatened with Gun and Knife in Brazen Reading Robbery

READING, Berkshire — A local business in Reading became the target of a terrifying armed robbery, during which a shop worker was threatened with both a firearm and a knife. Police have launched an appeal to track down the armed suspects behind the attack, which has raised security alerts for retail shops across Berkshire.

The incident unfolded during business hours when the suspect entered the retail shop and immediately confronted the victim behind the counter. Producing a handgun and a large knife, the offender threatened the worker, demanding access to the store's cash register and high-value inventory. The worker, complying with the demands under duress, was fortunately not physically harmed, although the experience was highly traumatic.
