Six Arrested Following Westfield Topanga Mall Smash-and-Grab Robbery

CANOGA PARK, CA — Authorities have announced the arrest of six individuals in connection with a chaotic smash-and-grab robbery at the Westfield Topanga Shopping Center in the San Fernando Valley.

The heist, which was captured on viral mobile phone footage by startled onlookers, saw a group of masked suspects descend upon a high-end retailer inside the mall. The thieves utilized hammers and other tools to shatter display cases, grabbing luxury goods worth thousands of dollars before fleeing past mall security.

Following a rapid investigation, the Los Angeles Police Department's Organized Retail Crime Task Force successfully identified and apprehended six suspects believed to be directly involved in the raid.
