Smash-and-Grab Burglars Target North Hollywood Cannabis Dispensary, Fleeing with Cash and Products

A commercial cannabis dispensary in North Hollywood was targeted in a destructive overnight smash-and-grab burglary, with thieves escaping with a significant amount of cash and retail marijuana products. The incident marks another occurrence in a growing trend of burglaries focusing on licensed dispensaries across Southern California.

The incident unfolded when a group of suspects arrived at the dispensary in the middle of the night. Using force, they crashed through the secure front doors, causing extensive damage to the building's exterior and security gates. Once access was gained, the burglars moved quickly, targeting the sales floor displays and secure cash reserves behind the counter.

Security footage captured the suspects loading bags with various cannabis products, including flowers, concentrates, and edibles, alongside cash from the registers, before fleeing the scene in multiple vehicles. Dispensary staff arrived the next morning to discover the break-in, prompting an immediate police response.

Los Angeles Police Department officers from the North Hollywood Division are currently reviewing surveillance videos and searching for evidence. Investigators are urging other dispensaries in the area to remain vigilant and ensure their security and vault systems are fully operational.
