Smash-and-Grab Robbers Target Jewelry Store Inside Sacramento's Arden Fair Mall

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Shoppers and staff at the Arden Fair Mall were startled by a chaotic smash-and-grab robbery targeting a jewelry store inside the shopping center. The incident, which took place on June 23, 2025, has sparked a major investigation by the Sacramento Police Department.

According to authorities, a group of individuals entered the jewelry store during business hours and began using heavy tools to smash open glass display cases. The sudden noise of shattering glass caused temporary panic among nearby mall patrons, with some running for safety, fearing a more violent situation.

The suspects managed to grab a significant amount of jewelry from the broken cases within seconds before fleeing the mall premises. No injuries were reported during the heist, though employees were left shaken by the speed and aggression of the attack.

Sacramento Police Department officers arrived quickly and secured the scene. Detectives are now reviewing mall security camera footage, as well as video captured by witnesses on mobile devices, to track the suspects' escape route and identify the individuals involved. Mall security is also cooperating fully with the investigation to determine if the suspects had scouted the location beforehand.
