Smash-and-Grab Robbery Captured on Video at San Francisco Mall Kay Jewelers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A brazen daylight smash-and-grab robbery at the Kay Jewelers store inside a popular San Francisco shopping mall was captured on video on August 4, 2024, showing the rapid and destructive nature of the crime.

The footage shows a group of masked individuals entering the jewelry store and immediately using hammers or heavy tools to shatter glass display cases. The suspects grabbed valuable merchandise, including rings and necklaces, before running out of the mall to a waiting getaway vehicle. The entire incident lasted less than two minutes, leaving employees and shoppers stunned.

San Francisco Police Department officers arrived at the scene shortly after receiving emergency calls, but the suspects had already fled.
