South LA Barbershop Ransacked on Thanksgiving: Burglars Steal Tools, Cash, and Beloved Shop Cat

SOUTH LOS ANGELES — A neighborhood barbershop was left devastated after burglars broke into the business on Thanksgiving Day, stealing thousands of dollars in professional equipment and cash, and kidnapping the shop's beloved pet cat.

The incident occurred on November 27, 2025, at the "LA Fresh Cuts" barbershop located in South Los Angeles. According to the shop owners and local police, the suspects smashed their way through the front of the business. Once inside, they ransacked the shop, taking high-end barber tools, clippers, and cash drawer contents totaling thousands of dollars.

However, the most heartbreaking loss for the staff and community was the theft of the shop's pet cat, a rare breed valued at approximately $2,000. The cat, which served as a mascot and comforting presence for clients, was taken from the premises by the intruders.
