The Chicago Police Department has issued a community alert warning residents of the South Shore neighborhood about two recent residential burglaries that occurred in the 7100 block of South Yates Boulevard. The incidents have prompted police to urge community members to secure their homes and report any suspicious behavior.

According to police reports, the break-ins occurred during daytime and early evening hours when residents were away from their homes. In both instances, the offenders gained entry through rear doors or windows, taking electronics, jewelry, and personal items before fleeing the scene.
