Stabbing during store robbery in Barnsley

A shop worker was stabbed during a robbery at a store in the Lundwood area of Barnsley, according to Facebook. Police were called at 8.50pm on Thursday, 7 May 2020, following the incident. A 26-year-old man was subsequently charged with multiple offences in connection with the stabbing.

Staff at commercial premises should be aware of the risks posed by confrontational incidents and should prioritize personal safety by complying with robber demands; physical resistance significantly increases the danger to employees.
