Stabbing incident at a convenience store in Liscard

According to an article published by Liverpoolecho on 29 December 2025, emergency services were called to a convenience store on Wallasey Road in Liscard on Boxing Day following reports of an attack. Merseyside Police arrived at the scene at approximately 2.35pm to find a man who had sustained stab wounds to his chest and head.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Following police inquiries, 35-year-old Denisventhan Jeyakumar was charged with possessing a knife in a public place and section 18 wounding. He appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on the morning of 29 December. Three other men, aged 58, 38, and 26, were also arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent and have been released on conditional bail.
