Stolen Pomeranian Puppy Sparks Police Search in Thornton

THORNTON, Colorado — A community-wide search is underway in Thornton after a valuable Pomeranian puppy was stolen during a break-in at the Pet Ranch specialty store. Authorities and store employees are expressing deep concern over the animal's safety and well-being, urging anyone with information to contact police immediately.

The incident occurred on May 1, 2025, when thieves broke into the retail establishment. Surveillance footage captured the suspects targeting the puppy enclosures, specifically selecting the young Pomeranian before fleeing the premises. No other animals were reported harmed or taken during the burglary.

Pet Ranch staff emphasized that the young puppy requires specific dietary care and monitoring, making its prompt recovery critical.
