Robbery at Morrison's in Widnes

According to an article published by Liverpoolecho on 5 February 2025, a robbery occurred at a Morrison's Daily supermarket located on Liverpool Road in Widnes. Police were called to the scene at approximately 7.35am on Wednesday, February 5.

Liverpoolecho reports that a man arrived at the store in a white transit van. Upon entering, he threatened staff members and proceeded to clear all cigarette packets from the shop, placing them into a yellow bag. The suspect then fled the scene in the direction of Hough Green train station.

Cheshire Police have described the suspect as a white male, approximately in his 30s, between 5ft 11in and 6ft tall, and of thin build. He was observed wearing black clothing with his face covered and spoke with a local accent. Authorities are requesting that anyone with information contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 2020788, or provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
