Surveillance Video Captures Suspect Breaking Into Miami Beach Deli and Smashing Security Cameras

MIAMI BEACH, Florida — A local deli in Miami Beach became the target of a destructive break-in on Christmas Day, with surveillance cameras capturing the suspect smashing a front window and intentionally damaging security equipment in an apparent attempt to cover his tracks.

According to the Miami Beach Police Department, the incident occurred during the early hours of December 25, 2025. The owner of the deli arrived later to discover a shattered glass window and significant damage to the interior, prompting an immediate call to law enforcement. A review of the establishment's security footage revealed a lone male suspect approaching the storefront, using a heavy object to break through the glass, and climbing inside.

Once inside the deli, the suspect did not just search for cash and valuable items; he was also seen on video actively targeting the security cameras. The footage shows the man reaching up to pull down, smash, and disable several of the recording devices. Despite his efforts to destroy the evidence, the deli's remote backup system successfully preserved the high-definition recordings of the initial moments of the break-in, providing detectives with clear images of the suspect's face and clothing.
