Suspect Arrested Following Armed Robbery at Chattanooga Auto Parts Store

CHATTANOOGA, TN — Authorities have apprehended a suspect following a daylight armed robbery outside an auto parts store in Chattanooga. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the O'Reilly Auto Parts store, where a victim was reportedly confronted and robbed at gunpoint.

According to police reports, officers responded swiftly to the scene after receiving emergency calls regarding the heist. Following a brief investigation and tracking of the suspect, law enforcement located and arrested the individual. Due to conflicting initial reports from local news sources, the suspect was variously identified as a local Chattanooga resident or a Memphis resident traveling through the area. He is now facing multiple felony charges, including armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

The Chattanooga Police Department is urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has additional security camera footage from the vicinity to come forward as they finalize their investigation. No injuries were reported during the confrontation, and the stolen property was partially recovered at the time of the arrest.
