Suspect in Greece and Gates Gas Station Robberies Captured After Police Chase

GREECE, N.Y. — A suspect accused of holding up gas stations in Greece and Gates is behind bars following a high-speed police chase that traversed multiple jurisdictions in Monroe County.

According to local police, the individual is suspected of committing consecutive robberies at service stations in both towns. Officers spotted the suspect's vehicle shortly after the latest robbery, initiating a traffic stop that quickly escalated into a pursuit when the driver refused to pull over.

The pursuit ended with the suspect being safely pinned and taken into custody without major injuries. Police officials praised the swift coordination between the Greece Police Department, the Gates Police Department, and county sheriff deputies. The suspect faces several charges, including robbery, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, and reckless endangerment.
