Investigation into Wolverhampton residential break-in
According to an article published by the BBC on 27 April 2026, West Midlands Police are investigating a suspected break-in at a private home in Mason Street, Wolverhampton. The property is the site where two boys, aged one and three, died in a fire on the previous Friday.
Police stated that it is believed someone forced entry to the house at some point overnight. At this stage, it remains unknown if any items were taken from the property. Officers are currently conducting forensic enquiries, reviewing CCTV footage, and carrying out house-to-house investigations in the area.
The investigation into the deaths of the two children remains ongoing, following the conclusion of the fire cause investigation. Authorities have described the situation as a truly tragic incident.
