Suspects Detained for Model Home Burglary in Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, CA — Multiple suspects have been detained in connection with a burglary at a model home in Palm Desert, and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department is requesting assistance from the public to gather additional information.

The incident unfolded when deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff's Station responded to reports of a break-in at a residential construction site. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that suspects had entered a model home, which was fully furnished for property viewings, and attempted to remove staging furniture and high-end decor.

Responding officers quickly established a perimeter and detained the suspects at the scene. While the primary suspects are currently in custody, investigators believe there may be additional accomplices or witnesses to the crime.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is urging anyone with information, home surveillance footage, or dashboard camera recordings from the area around the time of the incident to contact the Palm Desert Station to assist with the ongoing investigation.
