SUV Crashes into Alquds Jewelry in Audacious Attempted Robbery in Fresno

FRESNO, California — Authorities are searching for multiple suspects involved in a dramatic attempted heist at Alquds Jewelry in Fresno. The perpetrators used a sport utility vehicle (SUV) as a heavy tool to slam into the store's exterior wall and entrance.

The crash occurred in broad daylight, shattering glass and causing extensive structural damage to the store's security gate and brickwork. Despite the violence of the impact, the suspects failed to breach the main security barriers protecting the store's inventory inside. Realizing the attempt had failed and that police were en route, the suspects abandoned their plans and fled the scene.

Fresno Police Department units arrived shortly after the collision to secure the area and search for the suspects. Detectives have gathered surveillance footage from Alquds Jewelry and surrounding plazas to trace the getaway path and identify the individuals involved. Police are asking community members with any information on the SUV or the suspects' identities to come forward.
