Teenage Employees Robbed at Gunpoint at Arizona Ice Cream Shop

ARIZONA — A terrifying armed robbery at a local ice cream shop was caught on security cameras, showing teenage employees being held at gunpoint. The incident, which took place on May 30, 2025, has left the young workers shaken and sparked an urgent search for the armed suspect.

Surveillance video from inside the establishment shows a masked individual entering the shop shortly before closing. The suspect immediately brandished a handgun and pointed it at the teenage staff members behind the counter, demanding they open the cash register. The employees, visibly frightened, complied with the demands, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

After securing the money, the suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. Fortunately, none of the employees sustained physical injuries during the encounter, though the emotional toll of the experience is substantial.

“It is incredibly disturbing to see young people, who are just trying to earn a living, subjected to this level of violence and fear,” said a representative of the local police department. “We are analyzing the camera footage and working to identify the suspect. We ask the community to look closely at the video and contact us if they recognize the suspect's movements or clothing.”

The business owner expressed relief that the staff was safe, emphasizing that their safety was the top priority. Police are increasing patrols around local retail businesses and asking anyone with information about the suspect to call the robbery unit.
