Teenagers Apprehended After Burglary at Target in Sangertown Square

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. — A group of teenagers has been taken into police custody following a break-in at the Target retail store in Sangertown Square mall. The commercial burglary occurred during the early morning hours, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.

Police officers responded to a security alarm at the Target store and found evidence of forced entry. Upon searching the area, responding officers successfully located and detained the suspect youth nearby. The group of teens reportedly targeted electronic items and other merchandise before being intercepted by police patrols.

The New Hartford Police Department confirmed that the suspects are facing charges related to burglary and grand larceny. Due to their age, the identities of the juvenile suspects have not been released to the public. Police are continuing to work with store management to determine the full value of the merchandise that was targeted during the break-in.
