This machete-wielding Telford burglar stole £17k from a safe in 'terrifying' raid at a home

TELFORD, Shropshire — A machete-wielding burglar who stole £17,000 from a home safe during a terrifying residential raid has been sentenced.

The armed burglar broke into a property in Telford, threatening the occupants with a large machete. The suspect forced the victims to open their safe, stealing £17,000 in cash before fleeing the scene. Following an intense police investigation, the suspect was identified, arrested, and subsequently pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated burglary and possession of a bladed article.
