Thousands in Merchandise Stolen in Early-Morning Cambridge Business Break-In

CAMBRIDGE, ON — Waterloo Regional Police are calling on the public for assistance following an early-morning break-and-enter at a local business that resulted in the theft of thousands of dollars in merchandise.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, June 17, 2026. According to police reports, officers were alerted to an active commercial alarm at a business situated in the area of Coronation Boulevard in Cambridge at approximately 1:45 a.m.

Upon arrival, police discovered that suspects had forced their entry into the building by smashing a point of ingress. Once inside, the perpetrators quickly targeted and removed a large volume of merchandise before fleeing the scene prior to the arrival of law entertainment.

The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be in the thousands of dollars. Forensic identification officers and investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area to identify the individuals involved.

Waterloo Regional Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity, or who has dashcam or home surveillance footage from the Coronation Boulevard area around the time of the break-in, to contact them immediately or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
