Three Arrested Following Colorado Springs Smash-and-Grab and Attempted Carjackings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police have taken three individuals into custody, including two juveniles and one adult, following a series of criminal incidents in Colorado Springs that involved a smash-and-grab burglary and multiple attempted carjackings.

The crime spree began on October 17, 2025, when suspects targeted a local business in a smash-and-grab style burglary. Following the break-in, the suspects fled the scene and attempted to carjack multiple vehicles in the surrounding area in a desperate bid to escape.

Responding quickly to the scene, Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) officers successfully tracked down and detained two juvenile suspects shortly after the incident. Police immediately launched an investigation to identify any additional accomplices and reach out to members of the community who may have been targeted by the suspects' attempted carjackings.

By January 1, 2026, police confirmed that a third suspect, identified as an adult, had also been taken into custody in connection with the investigation. Authorities are still encouraging anyone with information or potential victims who have not yet spoken to law enforcement to contact the Colorado Springs Police Department.
