According to an article published by the BBC on 30 January 2025, three men have been arrested following a ram raid at a jewellery store in West Byfleet, Surrey. Surrey Police reported that officers were called to Brooklands Jewellers on Old Woking Road after a vehicle was seen reversing repeatedly into the front of the shop.

The BBC reports that suspects wearing face coverings entered the premises and stole high-value items from the window display. The vehicle used in the incident was later recovered in New Haw. Following an area search involving a police helicopter and dog unit, three men aged 29, 38, and 44 were arrested on suspicion of burglary, robbery, and driving offences. One suspect was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries sustained during the incident. Surrey Police has made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct and is currently appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV footage to come forward.

Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the installation of reinforced window displays and bollards, to help deter vehicle-based intrusions.
