According to an article published on 17 March 2026 by Wirralglobe, three people have been arrested following a robbery at the New Ferry Post Office on New Chester Road. The incident occurred on Thursday, March 12, when three men wearing balaclavas entered the premises, assaulted a male member of staff, and stole both Bank of England notes and foreign currency.

The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a grey Ford Focus, which was subsequently discovered abandoned on Circular Way in Port Sunlight. The staff member involved sustained minor facial injuries during the attack. Wirralglobe reports that Merseyside Police arrested two men, aged 50 and 46, and a 48-year-old woman on Friday, March 13. The individuals were arrested on suspicion of robbery and various drug-related offenses and have since been released on conditional bail.
