Three men arrested following Pitsea store break-in

According to an article published on 19 August 2024 by Echonews, three men were arrested following a late-night burglary at a store located on High Road in Pitsea. Police were called to the scene at 11:40 pm on 18 August after reports of a break-in at the rear of the premises.

Echonews reports that officers from the Basildon local policing team arrived quickly, resulting in the arrest of three men, aged 25, 35, and 38, within 16 minutes. Authorities recovered goods valued at more than £1,500 from the back of a vehicle at the location. The vehicle itself was identified as stolen, and the suspects remain in police custody for questioning.

Acting Superintendent Dan McHugh stated that burglary is an invasive crime that impacts both the business and the local community. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
