Three burglaries at a veterinary clinic in Loughborough
Repeated break-ins at Loughborough veterinary practice
According to an article published by Leicestermercury on 5 December 2025, a veterinary clinic in Forest Road, Loughborough, has been targeted by burglars three times in recent months. The incidents occurred on 14 August, 6 November, and 1 December.
Dr. Rachael Wallace, the clinical partner at the practice, reported that the first break-in involved the theft of medical supplies valued at ยฃ5,000. During the subsequent incidents in November and December, thieves stole petty cash. Beyond the thefts, the intruders caused extensive property damage, including deliberate flooding of the premises by leaving taps running, which necessitated the replacement of surgical equipment and structural repairs.
Leicestershire Police confirmed that no arrests have been made and that inquiries into the three burglaries are ongoing. The repeated incidents have left the staff feeling unsafe and have forced the business to postpone surgeries and bookings, creating a significant economic impact on the small team.
Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the reinforcement of entry points and the installation of monitored alarm systems, to deter unauthorized access.
