Three charged following burglary at Hyson Green business

Burglary investigation in Nottingham

According to an article published by the Nottinghampost on 7 October 2025, three suspects have been charged following a burglary at a business in Hyson Green. The incident occurred at a shop on Radford Road at approximately 3am on 6 June 2025.

Nottinghampost reports that intruders forced open the shop's shutters before removing a safe containing around £60,000 in cash using a trolley. A computer and a CCTV box were also taken during the break-in. Nottinghamshire Police have been conducting extensive inquiries since the event, leading to the charges against three individuals.

Saman Hamadi, 36, and Ardalan Mahmood, 46, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 4 October and were remanded into custody. They are scheduled to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 31 October. A third suspect, 40-year-old Haiwa Mohammed, was charged in August and is due in court on 15 October. Mohammed also faces charges related to two additional burglaries at separate Nottingham stores on 20 May. Detective Constable Jessica Dennis stated that the police remain committed to seeking justice for the affected shop owners.

Business owners are encouraged to ensure that security shutters and alarm systems are regularly inspected and fully operational.
