Three Indicted for $436,000 Armed Robbery of Cash Courier Outside Swansea Bank

SWANSEA, Massachusetts — Three men are facing serious criminal charges following an armed robbery outside a Swansea bank in which a cash courier was robbed of $436,000 in cash.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of a local bank branch along the G.A.R. Highway in Swansea, MA. According to law enforcement officials, the suspects targeted a courier who was transporting cash deposits. Brandishing firearms, the assailants ambushed the courier, seized the bags of cash, and fled. The courier was not physically injured during the confrontation, but the scale of the heist triggered immediate federal involvement due to the transport of cannabis-related funds.

Following a rapid investigation by the Swansea Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, and federal agencies, the three suspects were apprehended.
