Police investigate commercial burglaries in Wirral
According to an article published by Wirralglobe on 13 April 2026, police have arrested three men following two separate commercial burglaries in Wirral. The incidents occurred on Thursday, April 9, at The Big Padlock storage units in Upton and the Newton Arms pub in Newton.
Wirralglobe reports that at the storage facility, CCTV cameras were damaged and power tools were stolen. During the incident at the pub, external CCTV was also damaged and a large outdoor television was taken. Following enquiries, officers arrested three men, aged 47, 29, and 21, at an address in Woodchurch on Sunday, April 12. One of the suspects was discovered hiding behind a bedroom wardrobe.
Some of the stolen power tools and the television set have been recovered by police. The three men have been released on bail with conditions while investigations continue. Local Policing Inspector Sharon Robinson noted that these crimes have significantly inconvenienced the affected businesses. Authorities are encouraging members of the public to come forward with any information that may assist the ongoing investigation.
