Three charged after Richmond jewellery robbery

According to an article published on 10 April 2026 by Essexlive, three men from Essex have been charged in connection with a robbery at a jeweller's shop located in Paved Court, Richmond. The incident occurred on the morning of January 31 at approximately 10.34am.

Essexlive reports that the individuals charged are Deniz Mehmet, 28, of Purfleet Road, Aveley; Robert Clarke, 50, of Lever Lane, Rochford; and Lee Ramsey, 46, of Hastingwood Road, Harlow. All three men face charges of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Following arrests conducted by the Metropolitan Police, the suspects have appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court. They are scheduled to appear next at Kingston Crown Court on April 28. Detective Chief Inspector Scott Mather of the Met’s Flying Squad stated that extensive enquiries have been carried out over the past few months regarding the incident, noting the force's ongoing efforts to address retail crime and its impact on shop workers and the local community.
