According to an article published by Essexlive on 26 January 2026, three men have been charged following a robbery at a Vodafone shop in Brentwood. The incident occurred on Wednesday, January 21, when suspects entered the High Street store and threatened staff with a knife.

Essexlive reports that items valued at more than ยฃ39,000 were stolen during the robbery. Following a police pursuit involving the M25 and M11, three individuals were arrested with the assistance of the National Police Air Service and police dogs. Significant items were recovered from the vehicles involved.

The suspects, identified as 30-year-old Patrick McQuikin, 18-year-old Ephraim George, and a 17-year-old from London, have been charged with offenses including robbery and aggravated vehicle taking. All three appeared in court on Friday and have been remanded into custody ahead of a future appearance at Basildon Crown Court.

Inspector Jonathan Main stated that local authorities remain committed to supporting victims and working with the business community to prevent such criminal activity. Business owners are encouraged to review their security protocols and ensure staff are trained in emergency response procedures.
