Three teenagers arrested following burglaries in Hythe
Burglaries at business units in Hythe
According to an article published by Dailyecho on 9 March 2026, three teenagers have been arrested following reports of two burglaries at business units on St Johnโs Street, Hythe. The incidents occurred between 7pm on Thursday, March 5 and 9.30am on Friday, March 6.
Dailyecho reports that during the first incident, entry was forced through a smashed window and tools were stolen. In the second incident, a door was forced, and a black Honda Gorilla motorbike and further tools were taken. The motorbike has since been recovered and returned to its owner.
A 16-year-old boy from Hythe and a 15-year-old boy from Holbury were arrested on Saturday, March 7. Both have been released on conditional police bail. A second 16-year-old boy from Hythe was arrested on Monday, March 9, and remains in police custody. Hampshire police confirmed that officers from the Waterside Neighbourhood Policing Team, District Policing Team, and Criminal Investigation Department were involved in the arrests.
