Three Teenagers Arrested in Tempe Commercial Smash-and-Grab Heist Involving Stolen Vehicles

TEMPE, AZ — Authorities in Tempe have arrested three teenagers following an intensive investigation into a brazen commercial smash-and-grab burglary that took place earlier this month, police announced.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of November 3, 2025. According to the Tempe Police Department, officers responded to a commercial burglar alarm at a local retail establishment. Upon arrival, they discovered extensive damage to the building's entrance. Investigators determined that the suspects had intentionally rammed stolen vehicles into the storefront to force entry into the premises.

A Calculated Retail Heist

Once the barriers were breached, the suspects entered the store and quickly gathered valuable retail merchandise before fleeing the scene in another vehicle. The initial response by officers focused on securing the scene and collecting physical evidence, including security camera footage and automotive debris left behind by the impact.

The brazen nature of the heist, which involved multiple stolen vehicles, prompted a coordinated effort by Tempe police detectives to track down those responsible. By analyzing local surveillance footage and tracing the stolen vehicles used in the crash, investigators were able to identify the suspects.

Juvenile Suspects in Custody

On November 21, 2025, Tempe police confirmed that the investigation had culminated in the arrest of three teenagers. All three individuals are facing charges related to commercial burglary, auto theft, and criminal damage.
