Traumatised Wigan Shop Owner Releases CCTV After Terrifying Town Centre Raid

WIGAN, Greater Manchester — A town centre shop owner has made an emotional public appeal, releasing security camera footage of a traumatic armed robbery in a bid to bring the perpetrator to justice.

The initial incident, which occurred in late February 2024, left retail staff terrified when a raider entered the store and threatened employees. The business owner described the raid as an extremely traumatic experience that had a lasting psychological impact on the team members working that day.

Despite an ongoing police investigation, the suspect remained at large. In September 2024, the business owner took the decision to share clear CCTV images of the suspect captured during the raid. The footage shows the individual inside the shop during the incident, displaying a distinct lack of regard for the security systems in place.
