Trial underway following break-in at Bristol Elbit Systems site
Legal proceedings follow break-in at Bristol facility
According to an article published by the BBC on 12 January 2026, a trial is currently underway at Woolwich Crown Court regarding a break-in at the Elbit Systems factory in Bristol. Six defendants are accused of aggravated burglary, criminal damage, and violent disorder following an incident that occurred in the early hours of 6 August 2024.
The BBC reports that the group allegedly entered the facility in a prison van and used sledgehammers to damage equipment, including drones and computers. During the trial, the court heard testimony regarding the actions and motivations of the defendants, including Zoe Rogers, 22, and Jordan Devlin, 31. Defense counsel for Rogers stated that she felt terrified during the confrontation with security staff, while counsel for Devlin described his comments during the event as an attempt to reduce tension.
All six defendants deny the charges brought against them. One defendant, Samuel Corner, also denies an additional charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to a police officer. The trial continues.
Businesses should ensure that physical security measures, such as reinforced entry points and monitored alarm systems, are regularly inspected to deter unauthorized access.
