Two 18-year-olds, juvenile charged in Vernon armed robbery, police say

VERNON, Connecticut — Three individuals are facing serious charges following an armed robbery that occurred in Vernon, local police announced. The suspects arrested include two 18-year-old adults and one juvenile, whose identity is being withheld due to age.

Swift Police Response and Apprehension

The incident began when emergency dispatchers received a report of an armed robbery in progress. Officers quickly responded to the scene, establishing a perimeter and launching an immediate search based on description details provided by the victims. Shortly after, officers spotted suspects matching the descriptions nearby and took them into custody without further incident.

During the arrest, police recovered a weapon believed to have been used in the commission of the crime, as well as property belonging to the victims. No physical injuries were reported during the encounter, though the victims were visibly shaken.

Serious Charges Filed

The two 18-year-olds have been charged with several offenses, including:

• First-degree armed robbery
• Conspiracy to commit armed robbery
• Carrying a dangerous weapon
• Second-degree breach of peace

The juvenile suspect faces similar charges in juvenile court. The two adult suspects are currently being held on bond pending their initial court appearances at the Superior Court in Rockville.
