Two Arrested After Guns Stolen in Palm Desert Home Burglary

PALM DESERT, CA — Two men have been arrested following a residential burglary in Palm Desert during which several firearms were stolen, authorities announced.

The burglary occurred in mid-January 2026, prompting a prompt investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Intruders gained entry into a local residence and targeted a collection of firearms, escaping with multiple weapons and ammunition.

Detectives from the Palm Desert Station's Burglary Investigation Unit executed search warrants at multiple locations associated with the suspects. During the searches, investigators recovered the stolen firearms along with other stolen property linked to the crime. The two suspects, both local residents, were arrested and booked on charges including residential burglary, grand theft of firearms, and felon in possession of a firearm.

The Sheriff's Department highlighted that removing stolen firearms from the streets remains a top priority to prevent further criminal activity and ensure community safety.
