Two Arrested After Late-Night Attempted Burglary in Mount Harry Road, Sevenoaks

A swift response by Kent Police, supported by the police helicopter, resulted in the apprehension of two suspected burglars in Sevenoaks. The incident occurred late on the evening of Monday, 20 April 2026, at a block of flats on Mount Harry Road, situated near the town centre.

Officers were dispatched to the apartments just before 9:30 pm following reports of intruders attempting to force entry into the residential building. Given the proximity to the town centre and potential escape routes, the National Air Support Service (NPAS) helicopter was deployed to assist ground units in securing the area and tracking the suspects.

London Men Apprehended and Bailed

Following a targeted search of the immediate vicinity, officers located and arrested two men on suspicion of attempted burglary. The suspects, aged 23 and 25, are both from the London area.

Kent Police have confirmed that both individuals have been released on bail pending further investigation:

  • The 23-year-old suspect has been bailed until 17 July 2026.
  • The 25-year-old suspect has been bailed until 20 July 2026.

Witnesses Urged to Come Forward

The force is continuing its enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the attempted break-in. Local residents who may have spotted suspicious behavior or captured footage on their home security systems around Mount Harry Road between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm on 20 April are urged to get in touch.
