Two Arrested After Vehicle Smashes into North Shields Beauty Salon

Police have arrested two people following a dramatic incident in which a car crashed through the front window of a beauty salon in North Shields. The collision caused extensive structural damage to the commercial premises, leaving the storefront shattered.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang as the vehicle mounted the pavement and collided with the shop front. Fortunately, the salon was closed at the time of the collision, and no injuries were reported inside the building. Emergency services, including structural engineers, were called to assess the safety of the structure.

Officers arrested the driver and a passenger at the scene on suspicion of motoring and public order offences. An investigation is ongoing, and police are appealing for any dashcam or CCTV footage of the vehicle's driving prior to the crash.
