Examinerlive reports that two suspects arrived at the scene from the direction of Bootham, with one individual on foot and the other on a bicycle. The shop's alarm system was triggered after the premises were breached. It is believed the suspect who entered the store left empty-handed before both individuals fled back towards Bootham. Passing vehicles may have disturbed the suspects during the incident.

Following an investigation, two local men, aged 45 and 38, were traced to an address in the city at 3.20am on Thursday, 26 February. They remain in custody for questioning regarding the burglary and other offences.
