Two Arrested in East Hartford Home Invasion; Over 100 lbs of Marijuana Seized

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Two men have been arrested following a targeted home invasion and armed robbery in East Hartford, during which law enforcement officers uncovered a massive cache of narcotics, including over 100 pounds of marijuana.

According to police reports, the suspects forced their way into an East Hartford residence, confronting the occupants. Officers dispatched to the scene were able to locate and apprehend the two suspects shortly after the initial call. Upon securing the premises, investigators discovered and seized the large quantity of marijuana, adding significant drug charges to the list of offenses.

As the legal case progressed, one of the suspects underwent evaluations to determine fitness for trial. A Connecticut judge subsequently ruled that the suspect, who also faced charges related to sexual assault in connection with the incident, had been restored to competency and could proceed to face trial. The East Hartford Police Department, in conjunction with state prosecutors, continues to prepare the case for court proceedings.
