Two charged after vehicle smashed into Jules B boutique in Jesmond ram-raid

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged burglary and collision causing damage to a business in Jesmond, Tyne and Wear. At around 3:15 AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2025, police officers were called to the scene at Jules B, a designer clothing boutique located on Osborne Road.

According to Northumbria Police, Steven Karl Trory, 40, of Cramlington Road in Sunderland, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, arson causing criminal damage, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, joint burglary of a business, and driving with no insurance.

The force also confirmed that Anthony John Clough, 42, of Grafton House in Byker, Newcastle, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, arson causing criminal damage, and joint burglary of a business. Both suspects are scheduled to appear before Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
